We sat in the park. Later I write at burger joint on 1st and I (?) Her friend's sister bought a rancho in Coahuilla (the state far east of here, not the zona de tolerancia in Tijuana) and wants to run away and hide from the war.
The war. It's been ten years since we could say "the war is and I wish not." But it is and is changing everything. Everything. I'm having a cheese burger with potatoes and coke. Some things are still burgers and fries. En spanish. Con todo la hamburguesa? Do you want your hamburger with everything? Si, con todo. Escribe, escritor, loco tlacuilo, escribe. Scribble, scribe, scribble.
Envase Coca-Cola. The burger is hot. The fries good. How much longer may I enjoy such bounty and simple wealth? The great goodness of being able to get food by just putting down money? Will this go on until I die? Or end in war much sooner? God only knows. Dios mediante y que el rio no sube, God willing and the creek don't rise. I only scribble. Baseball on tv at the burger corner.

been thinking a lot the past few days about redesigning (again) the entrance format. as it is it is beautiful but too many choices leading to too many more choices. I believe the reader want something NOW not just links and more links to links to links beyond links. so tjcal01.htm should always showcase a recent piece of writing or pieces. like this burger verse of war and baseball. put the links on the side, Danny, and keep the main showcase Your Writing.
Sincerely yours, Self.
