I stare down
at the black depths of your heart
and see my own

Your pain is mine
Your hate is mine

this gift you give to me
this black acid is eating you
killing you
hurting you

and so,
you give me this gift
My depression is deepened
as I lessen your pain
I take on part of you
to help you through it all,

But what you give to me
you lose

Your soul is no longer drowning
but soon it will be empty
Your sorrow,
Your depth
make you my love
but now, that sorrow is gone.

leaving an empty shell
of laughter.

so now i leave you
i no longer love you.
You're gone, you see.

You are no longer my love.

You are now a better person.

leaving me blacker, and
dying.
