Yestereve to Oasis to meet Luisa. She gave me a copy of her thesis on translating and a splendid little dictionary of Mesoamerican terms. Mmmm what did I do to deserve the person's respect and friendship? Dunno. I've only worked with her for nothing so far, but....
She has such excellent ideas about translating I can't believe she wants me to work with her....
She gave me copies of the poems we will be translating. Pretty heavy stuff. Very excellent verses. I've got my work cut out. We're to meet again in two weeks and compare our drafts and decide how to proceed, IF we can proceed.
*Sigh* -- With half an eye toward the world I pretend to write for itnernet knowing full well only spam salemen and hustling spamwomen will bother to send or ready read any anything.
How to arrouse the I the eye of entertainment? I suspect by writing short items which are worth being read. Ha ha ha that assumes I : ONE: Have Anything Worth Saying and TWO: Can Say It. Form and Content. Two very tenuous twin IFs and No Buts, PLEASE. . . .
