Let's see... Christmas has flown by. And the advent concert at my church in San Diego... I went back to sing, and took Maria with me to see the concert. It was splendid. Afterwards we asked Pastor Noel to bless our rings. Ah, the rings!
With some of the money I won in the Frontera/Ford Poetry Contest I bought two beautiful silver braided rings made by a SUPERB jeweler here in Tijuana... Jorge Espinoza, in a little alley right off Revolution between what... fourth and fifth? Yeah, something like that. Also bought a couple silver pins for Christmas presents for my mom, and for Maria.
We stopped attending the archeology and anthropology program at CECUT. I... I love the subject but am short of time and money. I only won 1500 dollars in the contest, and already, what with Christmas and partying, it's gone. *sigh*
There are gallery openings tonight and next week, too. Getting back into the swing of the TJ art scene. Maria loves art much as I, and afterwards we go to the Turistico where a lot of my friends also show up. We drink tequilas (usually Jimador) or Bohemias. At 12 pesos a drink, which is quite reasonable. Quite, quite resonable. You remember when we went to Caesar's bar on my birthday? It was like twenty something. Ridiculous. And now that grand old bar is nothing but the front to a table dancing dive. Sheeesh.
Well, gotta get back to the screenplay.
